REP. ARMANDO -MANDO- MARTINEZ HONORS JESSE MARINES JR.

Representative Armando "Mando" Martinez, representing District 39, honored Jesse Marines Jr. for his accomplishments in the field of wrestling. Marines a Senior at Weslaco High School won the 31-5A District Championship on his way to an impressive 2nd place finish at the state matches in Austin.
"I am extremely proud of Jesse Marines Jr. for his success at such a high level of competition at the 5A Texas High School Wresting Matches," Martinez stated. "I am also impressed with his future plans of attending college on a wrestling scholarship." Jesse Marines Jr., the son of Jesse Marines Sr. and Edna Fuentes won the district championship for the past two years as a key component of the Weslaco Wrestling Team who have also been dominant in district competition with the direction of Coach John Glapa.
